Carlos To Attend ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals This Weekend
Legendary guitarist and musician Carlos Santana will be attending eliminations for the fourth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday, Oct. 31. Drivers Cruz and Tony Pedregon are promoting Santana's Milagro Foundation with special paint schemes this weekend.
Along with his first taste of professional drag racing, Santana will be taking part in NHRA's pre-race activities and making an appearance with both Tony and Cruz at the Pedregon Racing merchandise trailer following the first round of eliminations.
"This will be a great opportunity for Carlos to promote his great Milagro Foundation and meet some of auto racing's greatest fans," said Tony, who drives the Quaker State Racing Funny Car. "He will also be able to witness a great Sunday of racing at one of our premier racetracks."
Carlos and Deborah Santana founded the Milagro (miracle in Spanish) Foundation in 1998. The Foundation has given $1.5 million to charities and agencies that support children and youth in areas of health, education and the arts.
"I'm excited about this race weekend," said Cruz , pilot of the Advance Auto Parts Funny Car. "This is an opportunity for us to give back to the community and educate NHRA fans on the great contributions offered by the Milagro Foundation."
