Road to Ingwavuma chronicles an extraordinary journey to the heart of post-apartheid South Africa by a delegation of some of AmericaвЂ™s most respected artists / activists and their families, including Carlos Santana, Deborah Santana, Samuel L. Jackson, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Alfre Woodard, Roderick Spencer, Jurnee Smollett, CCH Pounder, and other key ANSA members.
The 36-minute film features special appearances by President Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Ahmed Kathrada, Zackie Achmat, Justice Albie Sachs, and other heroes in South AfricaвЂ™s fight for freedom and the continuing war on HIV/AIDS.
This new documentary is directed and produced by Peabody and Emmy-winning filmmaker Barbara Rick and executive produced and narrated by Deborah Santana.
